Leading Discovery Work on the AG Financial Redesign

An Out-of-Date Site Built Without Insight into the End Users‘ Struggles Needed an Update

AG Financial was in desperate need for a refresh - not only to bring the website up-to-date and inline with their current brand, but to make it more user friendly. In my last project for 40Digits / Barkley, I was able to lead our team (consisting of a jr. UX strategist, interaction designers, and front-end dev) through a collaborative discovery process with our stakeholder team.

I was responsible to define a scope of work that would allow myself and the project team to conduct the necessary discovery activities (sch as a card sort workshop and user story workshop) that would clarify how the site's organization and functionality would best be improved within a strict budget. A visual refresh went hand-in-hand with IA & page template improvements that are leading to reduced call volume into the customer service team.
